There are three "types"
of walks—Fun, Club, and Regular
Event:
1.
The Fun Walk is a walk
for fun, and will not garner
AVA/IVV credit. It may be
of any distance the planner
chooses, and there is no fee.
2.
A Club Walk is a walk
done as a club activity using an
YRE (Year Round Event) as the
walk route. Those who are
collecting AVA/IVV stamps in
their books can get credit for
these walks for a $3.00 fee.
3.
The Regular Event is a
special walk set up as a one-day
event for AVA/IVV credit. Given
our club State Park Walk
Challenge, most of the Regular
Events are done in State Parks
in Eastern Tennessee. The
fee is $3.00 to stamp your
books, and there may be an
additional "optional" fee for a patch
or a lapel pin.
For YREs, you can walk it at any
time and earn AVA credit for
your books. Just go to the
walk box, pick up a map, fill
out all the paperwork, stamp
your books, and do the walk,
then mail your check in the
envelope provided.
